Jonathan Rashi · Design Engineer

I design products down to the easing curve.

Then I build the frontend myself, so the 200ms I picked in Figma is the 200ms you get. Claude Code and Codex do a lot of the typing.

Shipped, and about to be.

    Bama

Bama turns a topic into a Hebrew presentation, right to left from the request to the exported file. I co-founded it with Rom Tregerman. I designed the product, the interface and the brand and built the frontend, and Rom develops the backend.

    Tipmo

Tipmo lets a guest tip a worker by tapping the worker’s tag with a phone. As a freelancer I redesigned the guest’s checkout, the worker’s app and the venue’s dashboard, including the design system, and worked with Tipmo’s team as the screens were built.

    Bamerhav Architects

Bamerhav is an architecture studio whose work includes synagogues, public buildings and housing. I designed its identity, from the first sketches to the brand book and the files handed over, then designed its site and built it in Framer with a CMS.

Notes

Notes from the build

Short pieces, each arguing one thing I learned while building. They go up when they’re finished.

I put fifteen teammates on a movie poster. Their faces had to stay theirs.

A 60 by 90 cm poster of my team as heroes and villains, built on my Mac with local models, a chain of scripts and several Claude Code sessions. No face left the machine.

What I do

I design products and build their frontend, this site included. Mostly with founders, from the first flow to the version people use.

Why I build

My designs used to wait for a developer, and what came back was close, but not what I drew. I got tired of waiting. I also wanted to know how it worked.

How I work

Claude Code and Codex write a lot of my code. They don’t notice when a button jumps 2px on hover. I do, and it bugs me until it’s fixed.

Before this

I co-ran an online coding school: 170+ students, a team of six. It taught me how much of a product happens around the screen.

Off the clock

Strength training, the NBA (mostly Deni Avdija) and films. Favorite four: La La Land, Sound of Metal, Life Is Beautiful, Forrest Gump.

Memes and GIFs I keep around.
